Costs for Planned Journeys

Service Journeys and Internships can be organized at any time during the year. 

Costs will depend upon the time of year, amount of travel, number of persons traveling along with other considerations.

Airfare fluctuates.  The most inexpensive times of the year to travel is AFTER January 10 until March and then again for a short time period in October. The most inexpensive time of the week to fly is Tuesday - Thursday.

Ground transportation costs have also increased and continue to fluctuate. 

All costs quoted at this time are subject to change.

Base Costs for Service Journeys will be included when scheduled

 The Distance Learning Center is being developed in Rabondo located in Southwestern Kenya.Travel through Central Kenya to Rabondo. Participate in the developing center and /or teach computer instruction, primary or secondary education classes or community education, or develop teaching materials. Visit the organization's children's home and enjoy a day in Nakuru National Park.

 NorthWest Art Journey
 16 days
Expanding Opportunities seeks out artisans with little access to the market, purchases their art and then resells it at a brick and m ortar location in Maine and through the internet. This journey will take us for the first time to Northwestern Kenya to the homelands of the Turkana and Pokot tribes. These tribes live in the dry are of Kenya and remain very true to their traditions.  This journey will be rough and unpredictable.  Come join us for an African Aventure  TBA
 Coastal Journey to Kwaupanga

  This is a followup journey to the Kwaupanga Books project directed by Ken and Tracy Zeringer.  Travel to beautiful coastal Kenya. Enjoy a leisurely drive up the coast stopping at places of interest. Then teach, read to children, or create teaching aids for at the Kwaupanga schools for three days.  End your visit with a tour through Tsavo National Park before flying home.
